Subject: A Life of Poetry
C. Cooper Ard’s newest book, Shadows on the Mountain, is a compilation of his complete poetic output. Starting in 1976 and ending in 1989, Ard’s creative genius was set free. Not all of his work was focused on one theme, but instead spanned over a vast array of topics. To keep the reader’s mind focused on the emotions of certain poems, Ard decided to pair similar works together for ease of reading.
The 119 pieces in Shadows on the Mountain give the readers a glimpse into the life of C. Cooper Ard. One can grow along with him from a high school boy to an accomplished young man. As he matured his poetry followed, which is unmistakable from the emotions that were put on the pages.
C. Cooper Ard was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, and raised a true military brat. He lived in Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, and even West Germany. He attended high school in Nebraska, and college at the University of Georgia, where he now resides with his wife and two children.
